I was going through old photos and found a few I liked. I& #39;m going to post them in a thread. All probably unrelated.
This is the first time I met Coco, an underweight/juvenile stray cat who came to live with us. He crawled straight into my lap. He& #39;s my best buddy now.

One time I went down to the city to see my shrink, and while I was there I found out my niece wasn& #39;t feeling well. Also I think it might have been close to her birthday. I bought her this huge teddy bear at CostCo. My sister dreads her children& #39;s birthdays because of me.
This is Coco, now fully grown. It& #39;s my favorite picture I have ever taken of him. He is a sinister fuzz-gremlin. I love him so much.
Coco needed a friend, so we adopted Kuro. From a shelter this time. This is maybe the worst picture I have ever taken of me, and the best picture I have ever taken of Kuro.
This is a doll/lamp we found at an auction. My daughter BEGGED for it. We brought it home and plugged it in. My partner noticed that it had real human hair. I said, "There is a zero percent chance that is not haunted." My daughter begged us to throw it away.
This is one of the only pictures of me I have ever liked. I could probably crop it and make a pretty good avatar.
My partner passed out after a long day. I& #39;m reading books with Ace. I look at these pictures and reflect that I have never in my life done anything to deserve the good fortune I enjoy.
Not sure exactly what I did to provoke that reaction from my partner, but presumably it was something I said. I provoke that reaction from a lot of people whenever I talk.
From the solar eclipse. I drove all morning to get my daughter to a part of my state that wasn& #39;t under cloud cover, so that she could see it unobstructed. Totally worth taking the day off work for.
This is my daughter. She& #39;s so tired she can barely eat ribs. But I assure you, she has the strength to never rest. So long as there are ribs to eat.
When we drove away from that restaurant, I found that she had rib bones in her pockets and was still chewing on them.

A collection of pictures from when we first moved into our new home. I love this place so much. It feels more like home than anywhere we& #39;ve lived together before. It& #39;s a hard feeling to describe, the houses that you know are temporary and the ones that stick with you.
This is Daisy, our pet mantis from a few years ago. She is ending the earthly life of an unfortunate cricket. Daisy was a pretty decent pet. You didn& #39;t have to do much for her.
Picture from a great RV camping trip with the girls. Ace& #39;s hair is still purple. I dyed it a few days back before taking her to a Birthday Massacre concert. The occasional (closely-guarded!) age-inappropriate experience is good for kids, IMO.
