The J.M.S, JRJR ASM run, known for being one of the most emotional Spider-Man runs out there, never actually has Spider-Man emote through his lenses. Anything that seems like an emote can be chalked up to a minor drawing inconsistency or a different angle like the images below.
If JRJR wanted Spider-Man to emote through his lenses, he would’ve made it obvious. It just goes to show that while emoting lenses are an option, they’re just that. Optional. Context, body language, first person narration, and things that are unique to the medium like word-
-balloon fonts, are all you really need to tell how Spider-Man is feeling.

See, the whole reason emoting lenses even exist is because comics are static. You can’t see them move, you can’t hear them talk, and there’s no score playing in the background. Yet, the narrative-
-techniques above work around it and tell us exactly how he feels. Emoting lenses just add to helping the reader.

So what does that say about the movies where you can see them move, where you can hear their voices, where you can hear a score? Well, it honestly makes emoting-
-lenses obsolete. It’s just a little extra.
