It's October, which means I want to share my old pumpkin carvings

Once upon a time, for 13 years, I ran an Avatar: The Last Airbender-themed pumpkin carving contest. The site's still up, and has nearly 200 wonderfully charming and creative carvings of all your favorite characters. (go check it out!)

But I, personally, hadn't carved pumpkins before when I started it. But it's kind of like drawing, so I learned. A tutorial showed how to do shading, and I was hooked.
These are of Aang, from 2006, 2005, and 2007.

In 2008 I did this one of Naruto from Shippuden (ch 399), and in 2009 I made this one of Toph.

In 2011 I had an especially good pumpkin, and carved both Vash (from Trigun) and Korra & Naga (from The Legend of Korra) on it.
In 2012 I made Hawkeye and Black Widow from The Avengers, and in 2014 did Aang & Korra for the 10-year anniversary.
In 2016 I carved this cute Aang, Appa & Momo sketch that Bryan Konietzko drew, and in 2017 did this goodbye shot of the gaang for the end of the contest.

I took a break after that, but this year I wanted to make something Daevabad related.
So I carved this City of Brass enamel pin design by IG's SJWonderlandz for Beacon Book box.

And that's it! Thanks for looking!
Carving pumpkins can be time consuming, but it's fun too.
And there's a lot of great tutorials if you want to get fancy!
