By “inconvenient” narrative I’m referring to the fact that we HATE being told that we leave Nigeria for a better life, because that suggests that life back home sucks.

It appears it does.

Not the most convenient thing to admit, but it’s true.

But the truth is, as I saw in a post on IG, the Nigerian dream is to miss Nigeria from abroad.
