why i don’t support mkit rain anymore (a thread)

before this starts:
i’m not telling anyone to unstan them i’m just saying why i PERSONALLY don’t support them anymore. a lot of ppl push this under the rug and i feel like attention needs to be brought on it
i’m gonna break it down by each artist so here we go!!

if you’re confused, mkit rain is a korean hip hop music label that has five artists. its also based in la and all of the members can speak english/have lived in america. this is important for what i’m about to say next

loopy
one of the creators of mkit along w nafla, and arguably the person in charge. he is practically the ceo and probably has the most power. a few years ago he released a music video called “hot n-word remix” which is a remix of a bobby schmurda song with the same title

the title of the video AND the thumbnail was not censored. kinda weird that even the original video had it censored but onto the next point... why tf is it still up. he knows it’s still there so why not delete it? i’m not sure if he’s apologized but even if he did (cont.)

why is it still up on his channel? and that brings the other question, why did he think it was okay to post it in the first place?

again, he was one of the founders of mkit and actually was BORN in california. he is american. it’s not like he’s blind to racism, unless he actively chooses to ignore it. he also posted the same remix on his channel

now he hasn’t done anything “wrong” but PERSONALLY i feel uncomfy w his content and how often he tweets about drugs/alcohol. i’m not his therapist nor do i know him personally but it seems like he has a problem and needs help. ppl r enabling him and,,, yeah

a question that you may have is: so only nafla, bloo, and loopy are okay right? why do u not support them?

i will explain

owen and west are both known racists, misogynists, and all the other -ists you can think of. the others KNOW what they’ve done and CHOOSE to still support them. if you are friends with a racist, you are gonna be perceived as racist bc u enable their behavior

ot3 has stood by their bullshit for so long and by allowing them to have a platform that spreads this behavior, it is harmful to the groups they have hurt. so many people push this fact under the rug and i think it’s wrong so that’s why i’m making this thread

again, they all speak english. they’ve lived in america and nafla was literally born in america. they are choosing to ignore how they are upholding racism by staying silent. this is why systemic racism is so prevalent even in 2020
