This is pure manipulation. https://www.ofcom.org.uk/__data/assets/pdf_file/0017/203318/covid-19-news-consumption-week-twenty-five-misinformation-deep-dive.pdf
OFCOM has prevented main media from reporting other than the Govt line on covid19 since lockdown day 1. I’m sure you all knew that? Check out their Coronavirus Broadcasting Regulations.
Anyway, they’ve run surveys about...
...‘misinformation’. It’s important that you know that, in this so called democracy, many of my posts classify as ‘misinformation’ because they conflict with Govt lines.
Some examples. Anyone posting about masks, throwing doubt on their effectiveness or safety is in trouble.
A majority agreed that such ‘misinformation’ should not be permitted, even if flagged. My problem, like a pound shop Galileo, is that they don’t inhibit transmission of respiratory viruses. Gratifyingly, Prof Heneghan’s friend, an English prof who works in Italy, I think, has...
...studied the literature in this for 15y. He states categorically that they are without effect & slightly increase the risk of respiratory infections (because they get wet & dirty). He cited the best RCT & it’s the one I’ve often cited here, a large, multicentre RCT, In Vietnam.
So both he & I would have our cards marked as ‘spreading misinformation’.
Next, they alight on ‘anyone throwing doubt on the safety of anticovid19 vaccines. This is too much. We know what we’ve measured. All else is speculation. It’s obvious that, since all the vaccines are...
...recent & novel entities, there simply is no long term safety data yet. So that’s by ‘throwing doubt...’, it’s stating bald facts. But OFCOM says it’s ‘misinformation’.
I’ve not read it all, but it’s ghoulish. Frankly quite frightening. Should I stop posting what I believe...
...and can back up with scientific literature, often peer reviewed? At this point I will, but I can see a time when I’d have my account suspended for ‘misbehaviour’. This isn’t the Britain I was born into in 1960, in Birmingham. George Orwell however would recognise it very well.
