Idk I guess I never *formally* introduced myself and if y’all are gonna hang around, I’d like y’all to know a little about me, the things I stand for, and the work I’ve done in my communities:

My name is Zucchini, I also go by Melon. I’ve been a sex worker for nearly ten years, and I’m a trained and certified volunteer medic. I have been getting into trouble in various actions in PDX for the last 7 years and medically assisting in actions for the last 4 years.

I’ve spent most of my life engaged in mutual aid in some form or another, from working closely with displaced youth, houseless folks, domestic violence survivors, sex workers, and people struggling with addiction.

I’m currently in college pursuing additional education so that I can be a free/accessible resource to low income and marginalized sex workers and victims of assault. My goal is to provide free biweekly group therapy sessions as well as write grants for individual therapy sessions

In 2017 I spearheaded the Photographer Blacklist in Portland, documenting testimonies of thousands of models and their experiences with predatory photographers to a shareable anonymous database

I’ve helped organize a myriad of food and supply drives over the last 4 years for low income sex workers, and assisted with fundraisers for reproductive healthcare for street-based SWers

I’m an abuse/sexual assault survivor, I struggle with PTSD, bipolar, and panic disorder. I’m on the autism spectrum and struggle with communication sometimes (but I try very hard)

I am Mexican Indigenous and Japanese, and I’m light skinned and very much benefit from that privilege.

I’m incredibly passionate, and incredibly involved in numerous facets of my community. I’m a member of many AGs that all serve very different, very specific purposes

My Twitter was pretty low in numbers for quite some time, and I realize that as my reach online begins to grow, the people that follow and choose to support me should know who and what exactly they’re supporting
