Gates to Infinity had this really good allegory for depression and how it impacts people... and then they end it with "just stop being sad lol :)"

what is it about our humanity that makes us special? is it our resolve? is it our fraternity? is it our capacity for faith/religion/spirituality? is it our ability to think critically, to ask questions, to analyze?

unlike everyone else, even your partner, you're able to ignore the effects of the bittercold not as a testament to your character, but as a testament to the circumstances of your birth.

your humanity simply puts you above the "lowly animals..." and that *sucks*
