facts i learned about a few of the wands today: a thread

remus' wand is part dark part light. the dark represents his werewolf side, and the light his human side. there is more light because he is more human. the ball at the end represents the full moon.

fenrir greyback's is all dark, representing he is all werewolf. there are slight scratch marks that are meant to he from his claws/nails. the silver circle on the top of the handle represents the full moon.

when someone goes to azkaban, their wand is branded. bellatrix's handle is branded with the meaning "torture", which is why she was in azkaban. her wand is bent, but she usually holds it up which makes it straight.

sirius black's wand is also branded. the pattern on the end means murder, which is why he was in azkaban. the markings on the handle represent the tattoos he has, which mean his animagus dog form.
