1. ๐™˜๐™ค๐™ฃ๐™จ๐™ž๐™™๐™š๐™ง ๐™ง๐™š๐™˜๐™ค๐™ซ๐™š๐™ง๐™ฎ: i understand this might not be an option for everyone at this very moment, but dealing with school while also dealing with mental health is unsustainable in the long run. you deserve to get better and lead a successful life. please reach out.
if recovery isnโ€™t what you choose for yourself right now, thatโ€™s okay. i hope that, eventually, youโ€™ll get there. here are some ways to struggle a little less for now.
2. ๐™™๐™ค๐™ฃโ€™๐™ฉ ๐™›๐™–๐™จ๐™ฉ/๐™ง๐™š๐™จ๐™ฉ๐™ง๐™ž๐™˜๐™ฉ ๐™๐™š๐™–๐™ซ๐™ž๐™ก๐™ฎ ๐™ฌ๐™๐™ž๐™ก๐™š ๐™ž๐™ฃ ๐™˜๐™ก๐™–๐™จ๐™จ, ๐™ฌ๐™ค๐™ง๐™ ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ ๐™ค๐™ง ๐™จ๐™ฉ๐™ช๐™™๐™ฎ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™œ: while this might work for a little while, you will soon become overwhelmed by thoughts about food and hunger that make it impossible to focus. what can you do?
now, obviously, thatโ€™s the hard part, right? for studying you need lots of energy! itโ€™s very, very, very hard. that is why i highly suggest you primarily eat foods high in protein and fibre such as eggs, avocados, apples, oatmeal, spinach... (you can find more on google easily)
it is always better to eat a little more than to sit over your books for 3 hours just thinking about how hungry you are and not learning anything, or walking out of a 3 hour lecture knowing you retained no information. donโ€™t waste your time you could have used efficiently.
๐™›๐™ค๐™ง ๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™จ๐™ฅ๐™ž๐™ง๐™–๐™ฉ๐™ž๐™ค๐™ฃ: before studying i love to eat scrambled eggs or oatmeal bowls and my favourite study snacks include pumpkin seeds, grapes, nuts (especially pistachios) and cherry tomatos!
3. ๐™™๐™ค๐™ฃโ€™๐™ฉ ๐™ค๐™ซ๐™š๐™ง๐™™๐™ค ๐™ž๐™ฉ ๐™ค๐™ฃ ๐™˜๐™–๐™›๐™›๐™š๐™ž๐™ฃ๐™š!: look, now, i get it, itโ€™s energy, it suppresses appetite, itโ€™s low to no calories BUT too much can be very harmful to your health! try to limit yourself to a maximum of 2 caffeinated drinks a day. really, pls donโ€™t go over 3
4. ๐™™๐™ค๐™ฃโ€™๐™ฉ ๐™—๐™š ๐™ฉ๐™ค๐™ค ๐™๐™–๐™ง๐™™ ๐™ค๐™ฃ ๐™ฎ๐™ค๐™ช๐™ง๐™จ๐™š๐™ก๐™›: if you cannot get up, maybe take your notes to bed and try to at least read through them there! itโ€™s okay if you cannot study at your desk everyday. youโ€™re struggling and you are still managing to do so amazing!
if you didnโ€™t do as much work as you planned on, that is okay too! if you need to skip a class to rest a little more, that is absolutely okay!!! tomorrow is a new day and maybe you can eat a little more and have a little more energy and do better. rest. donโ€™t push yourself
