just saw a tweet about a student testing positive for covid and the comments are filled with how school HAS to be open so i& #39;m gonna get my two cents

as a student, we are taught from the start we HAVE to pass classes. nope, they don& #39;t care if you learn the subject, they just care that you pass the class and move on. they teach us the bare minimum of things we will use in life. i have had a very bad experience with my teacher-
of 6th grade, her calling me a "backstabber and toxic human being." that has stuck eith me for the rest of my life and she had no input on the situation so she had no right to say those things. on the covid part, i don& #39;t believe it is safe to have schools open. the most they sh-
have is the choice to go to school or not go to school. school barely has helped us, and students mental health can be severly impacted all because we DEFINITELY NEED to learn about calculus. i get that school is a safe haven for people who are abused at home and i am so very so-
that the schools have been shut down but. schools aren& #39;t safe to be open if we don& #39;t want cases to spring up. i also get the parents need to work and their child needs somewhere to be. it is better to have your child at home then bring covid back from school and spread it to the-
whole family. there is different things happening in peoples lives and i am sorry that this pandemic has hit you or your family hard. i have expressed that i don& #39;t feel schools should be open in this thread but i believe that schools should be open for only the kids who NEED sc-
school to be open. (kids being abused or kids who dont have internet, etc) if people have the privilege of being able to stay at home, do it. you do not need social interaction that bad jimmy. stay the duck at home. there& #39;s my two cents sooo
