Ranking every single solo project by Mac Miller. This will include all his alter egos, Larry Lovestein, Larry Fisherman, Delusional Thomas etc. I spent the past 3 days listening to all these projects so please gas this up.
19. Jukebox 5.5/10

Easily his worst project for me. The rapping is mediocre the hook game is among his worst. This was born straight out of the bling era everything from the cover to the obnoxious producer tags and radio interludes. Mac was still forming here as an artist.
18. RunOn Sentences Vol 2 6.5/10

The second installment in the instrumental series under Larry Fisherman this proves as a boring listen. Generally I think Mac is a solid producer in his own right but the material he showcases here is uninteresting but some great ideas are shown.
17. But My Mackin’ Ain’t Easy 6.5/10

Miller‘s debut mixtape you can already see the formings of something here. While this project is unfocused and somewhat a lull I find some tracks great and even highlights in his early career. Notably the first three songs.
16. The High Life 7/10

Another one of Mac’s “forming” tapes. He showcases some real promise here. From the rapping to the production this is a solid tape. I could see if the tracklist was cut in half it ranking more in the 8-8.5 range. But again nowhere near a masterpiece.
15. Run On Sentences Vol 1 7.5/10

The first installment of the Larry Fisherman instrumental series I adore what Mac tired to do here. The beats here are yes nothing special but the use of vocal samples present a concept that truly interested me while listening.
14. Blue Slide Park 8/10

His debut album he is really starting to improve as an artist. His rapping is more consistent his hooks are better. He is still in his frat rap bag that he is in for most of the first half of his career but he does it well. Some great songs are here.
13. Delusional Thomas 8/10

The one off mixtape under the alter ego Delusional Thomas this is surely a weird one. From the pitch shifted vocals the the abstract production this surely makes for an interesting listen. Definitely not his best by any means but surely a good one.
12. Macadelic 8/10

One of Macs best tapes this project ranks this high for its consistency. Not too many amazing songs, but I would like to highlight Fight The Feeling and America, but in its run time it presents almost no mediocre songs and that’s why it earns this spot.
11. You 8.5/10

The first and only project under this alter ego this a very enjoyable listen. While I am not huge on the vocals of this album I absolutely adore the jazz/rnb influenced production of this project. The theme of the lyrics is just fun cheesy love songs that I love.
10. Best Day Ever 8.5/10

This is where Mac started to really show that he was less of a one project wonder(KIDS) and an actually consistent artist. The mixtape showcases some of his best songs up to this point. The first half of this album is extremely good but it does fall off.
9. On and On and Beyond 8.5/10

A short EP show casing 4 songs we have heard on other Mac projects and 2 new tracks. Each song here is either good or great and makes for a good listen bc of its length.
8. I Love Life, Thank You 8.5/10

This is a short killer mixtape that is very consistent. Not a mediocre song on here and makes its short run time really packs a punch.
7. K.I.D.S 8.5/10

This tape is truly great. It is in my opinion the best project in his pre-2013 career. from front to back this tape showcases unique production and memorable rapping and is truly a great listen.
6. GO:OD AM 8.5-9/10

In the 6 spot we have what I think is Millers worst album. Now that’s not to say it’s bad. A bunch of his best songs and showcases some of his best songwriting and talent. All though there are times where it is a little inconsistent to me which holds it back
5. Faces 9/10

Macs last mixtape is also his best mixtape in my opinion. In the 24 track runtime there are no skips and a lot of his best songs are on here. Diablo and Rain are huge highlights.
4. Watching Movies With The Sound Off 9.5/10

This is where Macs career takes a creative shift. He takes himself from more of frat rap or college rap to making his own lane of more introspective and meaningful music with unique production and sound.
3. The Divine Feminine 9.5/10

Mac again takes another creative shift with this album. He incorporates elements of jazz and rnb production and singing that we will see present through the rest of his discography. Truly an amazing album with a good chunk of his best songs.
2. Circles 10/10

Macs latest album and posthumous release, this is really a masterpiece. This is less of a hip hop album and more of a singer songwriter album where themes of depression and his personal thoughts and emotions the song writing and tracklist are top notch.
1. Swimming 10/10

I don’t have enough good things to say about this album. From the jazzy production to the hard hitting lyrics of depression and internal feelings he really ended the last few months of his life with the crowning jewel of his discography. This album is-
-simultaneously beautiful and hopeless at the same time. We get a firsthand look into his deepest thoughts and feelings and knowing of his passing it hits even harder than it would before.
This is the end of the thread. I know this was a long one and if you made it this far i really appreciate it. I love Mac Miller and he is one of my favorite artists oat and exploring the depths of his amazing discography was a great time. Again thank you for reading.
