about Bill Barr killing Epstein at Trump’s behest. Books would have appeared within weeks. The House would have geared up the first of several hearings on how Barr was responsible for Epstein’s death. Every Democrat would have mentioned Epstein in every appearance.

This would have gone not just for weeks, but years. It would be a regular feature on a left-wing Hannity show. Mainstream reporters would routinely ask the adminstration about it at briefings. Even though Bill Clinton might have been swept in, he would be seen as a

necessary sacrifice. Across cable, newspapers, websites, podcasts, radio shows, and books, we’d hear more about Epstein than the pandemic. I don’t have to imagine this. We saw the Vince Foster persecution and Benghazi.
