NEW: Gov. Kevin Stitt names his Chief Policy Advisory Brian Bingman as the new Secretary of State and Native American Affairs, his office says.

Also, Stitt has accepted the resignation of his Secretary of Budget Mike Mazzei.
Bingman replaces former Secretary of State Michael Rogers, who resigned last week to become a special advisor to the Governor.
Also keep in mind that the Secretary of State has been consolidated with the Secretary of Native American Affairs after Gov. Stitt's Secretary of Native American Affairs resigned over the tribal gaming dispute.
In a statement, now-former Secretary of Budget Mike Mazzei says it's time for him to "step back and return to my finance planning company."
Mazzei was involved in tense budget negotiations last session that ultimately led to the Governor vetoing the FY 21 budget and the legislature voting to override
Bingman, an enrolled citizen of the Muscogee (Creek) Nation, is a former Senate President Pro Tem and represented HD30 in the state legislature
