Just a little reminder for all of us...

Social media is a powerful media and easily misused by people with bad intentions.

Twitter is a great place to share ideas and information. But it can also be used to target people, wrongly, with permanent consequences.

I have spoken with so many people who have been targeted by horrible, cruel, and false accusations. The problem is that it's easy to attract others to pile on in this platform.

And sometimes with serious consequences.

The Twitter platform is literally designed around

creating a rush of endorphins in your brain, when you receive Likes and Retweets.

But the opposite is also true.

Personal attacks have a compounded effect on Twitter.

I can't count the number of times people have come to me, hurting badly, because they've been attacked

on Twitter.

Cyberbullying is a very real thing. And I have personally lost a friend to suicide as a result of it.

So please...

Think before you tweet. Be kind to others. And if you see someone bullying someone else, please don't amplify it.
