Does it befuddle you that Nigeria would rather kill 11 people, beat & teargass 100s more in a weekend than end an erring police unit & reform policing like youths are asking?

Yes, it looks strange till you realize that the youths are really pulling a thread.
You know those times when you try to pull a little loose thread from an old piece of cloth and the whole cloth nearly rips apart?

That is what Nigerian youths are doing.

Policing looks like a small thread but it supports electoral malpractice and other huge corrupt schemes.
A police force that is more accountable will be more expensive to deploy to rig elections.

So asking a politician who needs this to act on one police unit and reform others is threatening past and future acts of electoral malpractice for example.

Smal pull plenty scatter
Nigerian youths have also exposed the weakness of Nigeria's unitary structure (while eating jollof, raising placards and sadly getting shot).

They have shown that Abuja's power is weak even in the FCT.

They have shown the Kingdom (literally a king's domain) is really weak.
Nigerian youths over one weekend want to burst the entirety of everything.

That is how weak the Nigerian state is.

Buhari cannot tell the DPO in Surulere what to do it seems.

IGP can't give directives to the guys at Ajuwon and Ogbomosho.

The domain is weak.
Weak kingdoms are dangerous because they will keep excalating the show of force on little issues.

It is EndSARS ( #SARSMUSTEND) now.

But that is why they also shot Shiites and others.
