The Ooni of Ife, Adeyeye Ogunwusi, has recently narrated the ordeal that his daughter once suffered in the hand s of operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad(SARS).
Ogunwusi made this statement on Twitter while endorsing the recent outburst and public protest against the brutality and extortion of everyday citizens by operatives of the SARS.
He said his 25-year-old daughter once had a nasty experience with SARS operatives which nearly led to her death.
The monarch, expressed his delight that the days that youths of Nigeria put into requesting an end to the activities of the SARS had paid off.

He said that his daughter was once accosted by operatives of SARS on one occasion when she was coming back from the Airport. She was searched and ransacked for about 30 minutes by policemen in mufti.
He implored the youth to demand for more guarantees and rights as citizens adding that this was just the beginning of greater things to come.
He also urged the police to understand that such protests is to bring reforms to the force such that their welfare will be improved for the better.
