Democrats in this town hold POC to different standards. Tell me why I didn’t go a single day w/out hearing about a young brown Dem putting another Dem “on blast” in a mailer for a non-partisan race last election BUT this election we have TWO alleged progressive/ Democrat

incumbents working alongside Republicans & being endorsed by the cops & no one in the party says anything!? Then we wonder why young progressives are hesitant to join the party. Does our party leadership think the youth just don’t notice these things? Do they think they don’t

notice that I have only been approached & helped by Dem leadership of color? This is non-partisan race but when the party is giving the youth & college students so much grief over not branding themselves w/a Biden logo it makes sense they’re going to question why they’re being

being pressured to enthusiastically support a problematic White man when our local party can’t even support young progressives of color running for office I said what I said. Will I still work my ass off for the party? Yes. Because I believe in 99% of our local candidates.

It’s just unfortunate that these are the systems we are forced to navigate in just to be able to push for a tiny bit of progress towards creating a more just society.

This is HOW inequalities reproduce, familia. Because no one speaks up & the younger generation sees it. I will probably get some grief for this thread but not from anyone I respect
