🇲🇾 predictions for tomorrow. please note this is pure speculation, just for FUN. the MPs aren't known, so anything can happen!

1/ Anwar presents convincing evidence of a majority. the Agong accepts it after Zoom-ing with each MP. Muhyiddin is forced to tender his resignation
2/ the MPs that switch sides come from all parties except PAS, who stay clueless as ever

several MPs are long standing UMNO MPs that realise they are in the twilight of their career & want to do the right thing before they retire. Anwar has been jailed 2x, & has collected...
... enough 'pahala'. beaten to a pulp, years in solitary confinement, betrayed by his mentor (2x), betrayed by his apprentice, his party reduced to a husk of its former self, yet it still remains the best vehicle for reform, as the youth of today are still not ready to take over
3/ no one from UMNO's 'court cluster' comes anywhere close to a govt post

but, in a surprise move for reconciliation, Datuk Seri Najib Razak is appointed to chair an MP select committee to advise on GLC governance & campaign finance reform, deputised by Lim Kit Siang
4/ Zahid Hamidi announces he is stepping down as UMNO president, & hands over to his deputy Mat Hassan, who has a clean reputation, & well known as a decent bloke. Zahid's position is untenable anyway, as he throws his support behind Anwar, & still has his court cases to fight
5/ you see where this is leading? the court cluster can make life easier for themselves by switching sides & working with Anwar to strengthen the institutions & push reforms through the system. in exchange for doing this, they might receive leniency from the courts, or an act...
... of parliament that obliges the judges to do so. this allows them all to plead guilty en masse & save everyone the hassle of years in court

if you put in place the laws necessary to prevent 1MDB from happening again, remove exec interference from the AG, end political...
... appointments to GLCs, limit the powers given to the PM, in exchange for lighter sentences, would you make that deal? I think I would
6/ as Anwar gains convincing support, including Malay-Muslim support, Mahathir is AT LAST forced to endorse Anwar

lost for words, for once, Mahathir sits down, and shuts up. sigh, this thread is pure fantasy, isn't it
7/ for the first time in decades, the transport minister isn't Chinese. in a display of creativity & imagination, Anwar decides maybe every traffic jam in the country should be some other poor fellas fault 😜
8/ Tengku Zafrul is asked to stay on as interim finance minister, & graciously accepts, with Lim Guan Eng eventually transitioning to replace him, once this crisis is over. Tony Pua is given 1 of 2 deputy finance posts, which formalises his previous position anyway
9/ Fahmi Fadzil: deputy minister of communications & multimedia

10/ Menteri Belia & Sukan is actually belia and does sukan

ok, that's it. anything else?

Bonus points if Azmin Ali & Zuraida were faking it all along...
