1) You are pedictable

Most sales people go through the same training and have the same routines as their competition.

It is important for you to constantly be evolving so you can stand out as the expert in your field.

Be different. Be bold. Be you.
2) You talk too much

When selling anything, dont sell anything. Let the customer sell themselves.

The more you can get the customer to talk, the more you win.

Listen. Hear. Allow the customer to appear in charge.
3) You dont teach

Sales people like to think they can outsmart the world. Often they are selling to an audience that has no idea what they are talking about.

Set yourself apart by informing your customers about your products and being able to explain them at a basic level.
4) You lie

Never lie to the customer, ever. They will know. If you do not know the answer to a question or if you cannot provide a solution to their problem please let them know.

Honesty will get you far in life and in sales.

Never be afraid to be honest.
5) You do not follow up

Following up with your customers is the difference between being a good sales person and a great sales person.
