Some comments from Canada's @coachblade, president of Alberta Athletics, on the parallels she observes between transgender-inclusion policies in Australia & her country. 1/
"Canada is going down the same trail as Australia: driving a policy of (trans) sports 'inclusion' which leads to the exclusion of female participants," Dr Blade says.
"The main entity promoting the inclusion of (trans people with) male bodies in female sports is the Canadian Centre for Ethics in Sports, which was created in the wake of the Ben Johnson doping scandal to combat cheating."

"While doping offers a 9-10% advantage in sport, this is small in comparison to the 10-50% advantage that males have over female athletes. How can the former be unethical but the latter not be?"
"It is fair to say that the vast majority of women in Canadian sport were not consulted in the development of this (pro-trans) policy. I suspect the same holds true for Australian women in sports. Typically, details of the policy are not known until after they become entrenched."
"Anybody who subsequently, dares to object is labeled 'hateful'. Most women in sports don't sign up to be hateful. Most of us just want our sports to remain fair and accessible. We are asking for safe and valid forums to voice our opinions respectfully."
