I've just been able to login to my twitter account after several failed attempts. Yesterday I personally experienced police brutality in Abuja during the protest. #SARSMUSTEND

While we were protesting PEACEFULLY in Abuja from unity fountain heading towards police headquarters, the police blocked us with water cannon tanks. We stopped when we saw them with their tank and guns and big sticks and continued chanting #ENDSARSNOW

They started approaching us and fired teargas and HOT water at us and they started chasing us so we ran cause omo we were scared. #SARSMUSTEND

I thought I could just stay there and they would pass me but when I looked back and saw their guns and sticks and remembered how brutal these people were I knew I had to get up. My fellow protesters encouraged me and some other people that had already given up to get up and run

We were still hiding and the next thing I heard was "Jump"
I looked up and all I saw was one of my brothers jumping and I saw that the police men had found our hiding spot and were beating people with their big sticks #SARSMUSTEND

they kept flogging us as we were running at every point. I dodged some sha but they really beat us up. we had reached the main road (around finance headquarters or so) and we saw more police trucks and police men there. #SARSMUSTEND

This thread isn't to scare you but to remind you all exactly why we are protesting. These people are vicious animals and they need to be stopped now. #SARSMUSTEND now if we want a bright future for our children.
