TW // drug abuse

it really pisses me off when people make jokes that harry is high on hard drugs literally any time he does something funny. they always make the fine line jokes and as someone who has seen what those drugs do to people first hand it’s really not funny or+

something you should joke about because the idea of harry doing stuff like that all the time and possibly hurting himself makes me so upset. i don’t mind if he does it recreationally. i understand that there are ways to do it responsibly and safely but you joke about it ALL THE+

TIME and if he does have a problem with drugs which really isn’t unlikely given how many famous people do. them joking about it is so awful and not funny because it’s serious and dangerous and scary. hard drugs, and when i say hard drugs i mean cocaine and heroin but mostly+

cocaine in this context, are so normalized and kind of romanticized now that people aren’t actually aware of what they can do and how they can harm you. also joking about it is SO insensitive to people who have had drug problems. most of the people who make those jokes don’t+

even actually know what they’re talking about or the actual signs of drug use and are literally 12 years old. and i’m not saying harry hasn’t done drugs. i’m well aware he’s done shrooms and the chances of him doing even harder drugs are extremely high. i actually would be+

surprised if he’s never done them. BUT STOP ROMANTICIZING DRUG ABUSE OH MY GOD PEOPLE CAN HAVE A PERSONALITY WITHOUT BEING HIGH also his pupils probably are a result of drugs and i know that JUST STOP ROMANTICIZING IT. ITS DANGEROUS+

ok im done and people are probably gonna call me sensitive and tell me to take a joke or whatever but the constant romanticizing of drugs is dangerous and the amount of jokes people make would suggest an addiction bc you guys act like he’s high 24/7 and+

if he does a problem with drugs, which i highly doubt he does bc he talks about the importance of if you are going to do it do it responsibly and make sure you’re not in a bad mind set and all, but IF HE DOES you making jokes about it is not helping+

i have multiple family members on both my mom and dads side that struggle with addiction. my uncle has overdosed multiple times and no longer has teeth and has been to jail multiple times, my cousin has also been to jail for attacking my grandma, like physically attacking her+

to the point she had to come live with me basically what i’m saying that drug abuse is not something to joke about and if he does it recreationally that’s his business and i wouldn’t judge him for it either but it becomes a problem when you all romanticize it
