#CLST6 #RR10 I do not think Athenian democracy was fair. Although it was a step in the right direction for citizen engagement in government, it excluded a large portion of the population. such as the one pictured below on the red-figure kylix [2]. It also excludes immigrants who came to Athens as artisans or businessmen looking for new opportunities [3]. Additionally, many of the men who were citizens could not participate in government because voting
only took place at the Pynx, meaning some men would have to travel multiple days to vote [4].
