THREAD:

1. I have a lot of respect and admiration for scalpers. You have to be wired a certain way. It requires a huge amount of focus.

I tried to do it and was overwhelmed with stress. I’d lose multiple trades in a row and it would affect my judgement.
2. I knew I couldn’t handle the emotional side on if. It was affecting my lifestyle and mental health. I don’t mind staring at charts all day but having to constantly manage positions is extremely stressful for me.
3. So I took it upon myself to use what I’d learnt during that experience and figure out a way of trading the LTF’s without the need to be in every move. I wanted the benefit of narrowing down entries without the added stress.
4. This was a game changer for me and my trading is now sort of effortless. There’s no stress anymore. If I lose, it’s fine. I move onto the next trade and review what happened later in the day. It’s a simple process that I can comfortably follow.
5. I’ve also tested my strategy so I know how many trades are likely to occur on any given day. This is important because you now have a rough idea of when you’re likely over trading. Helps to keep the drawdown to a minimum.
6. There are many ways to trade the market. If you find yourself getting too stressed and having your judgement affected because of it, my advice is to try something new. We didn’t get into this to be consumed by it. At least I didn’t anyway. FREEDOM is the ultimate goal here.
