Let& #39;s talk about why Serkan Bolat thinks he needs to take the blame for an accident that happened 20 years ago, because I see some people upset that he didn& #39;t give Eda a choice, but that& #39;s not how his brain works.
A #SenÇalKapımı thread:
Serkan& #39;s a successful independent man, but he lives in what is the essentially his parent& #39;s pool house. Why? Simply because his mom asked him to.
Even considering how his parents abandoned him after his brother& #39;s death, he& #39;s still so loyal to them that he& #39;d give up his happiness.
He has a more confrontational relationship w/ his dad, but it& #39;s probably bc he sees how fragile his mom is so he takes out his frustrations on his dad.
But after Alptekin& #39;s health scare, Serkan won& #39;t risk upsetting either one of them. Therefore, HE will be the one to tell Eda.
He has white knight syndrome a bit, but we love him for it most of the time.
He saved Eda from drowning.
He took her away from papz that would& #39;ve shredded her.
He wouldn& #39;t let her fail her 1st solo job.
He LITERALLY catches her when she falls.
He& #39;s going to try to protect her...
He& #39;s self sacrificing, he& #39;s a protector, he& #39;s loyal, and he& #39;s also extremely hard on himself.
He doesn& #39;t think he& #39;s good enough for Eda, he never has.
She said she hated him & told him how he ruined her life, and there is a small part of him that will NEVER forget that.
He& #39;s got major abandonment issues.
He begged to stay w/ his parents & they ignored him, sent him away.
He was terrified of letting anyone in. He didn& #39;t let Selin in even though she was a childhood friend.
When he& #39;s vulnerable he pushes EVERYONE away. He makes the 1st strike.
He& #39;s a control freak.
He feels he has to control things bc if anything goes wrong he feels responsible for it.
He took the burden of his brother& #39;s death bc his parents couldn& #39;t handle it.
He will take the burden of his father& #39;s mistake bc he doesn& #39;t want Eda to be in pain.
Add to all this how he feels guilty about the ONE selfish thing he ever did (tell Eda to stay) & we have the perfect storm of him being noble & taking the bullet for her.
He thinks HE is what& #39;s holding her back from living her dream, so he& #39;ll let her go in the best way he knows.
