But basically this issue focuses on the Avengers tracking down and dealing with the five (six? Seven??) sited that Ex Nihilo grossified during the first arc, just in case anyone needs a quick reference point for where weâre at

I love that, immediately, they let us know that Hyperion is not just some stereotype. Heâs got the brawn and the brain
We love a good Superman homage. But I need to know, how similar is this to Hyperions that weâve seen in the past? I know thereâs been several iterations of the character. Anyone willing to break those down for me then please, be my guest

And I think that theyâre supposed to really play into the themes of this issue. I admit that I donât think Iâve wrapped my mind around it completely, but I think this issue is supposed to depict that, despite being seen as a Hero, Hyperion rarely felt like a personâ
Lines talking about how he could see electrons, see relationships but his that in his heart, the Hyperion that was seemed distant and a little cold.
And I think this issue is about how he learned to start being human, and weâll see how in just a little bit

That being said, If anyone else, especially anyone more seasoned with Hyperion than I, has any different interpretation then I would love to hear it!

Also, lol, feel like I have more questions than answers this thread but I need some help IDing the other characters in these two panels. Any help at all would be appreciated!

Nat: This place could be dangerous, donât touch anything!
Jessica: Pft, no problem!
Also Jessica...one panel later: T O U C H

Also Thor is 100% hitting on Hyperion, you canât convince me otherwise. Look at his eyes!

Itâs a funny moment but also another that I feel adds to that possible theme. Because things like drinking are beneath Hyperion, yet not beneath an ACTUAL god like Thor. He comes off as more distant and robotic than an actual god...and thatâs the point I think

Who the **** INTERNS AT AIM???
Does Hydra offer work studies? DOES THE BROTHERHOOD OF EVIL MUTANTS OFFER COURSE CREDITS???

And we get the first reference to the Incursions in the main Avengers title! And Hyperion survived one!
But if anything...he serves as nothing but a loving reminder that yeah...these incursions are SERIOUS business!

And gif damn I love this...the man so strong that not even the end of the universe could end him...incredible
