Hey guys!!! Heres a serious thread on why you should watch Kipo and the age of the Wonderbeasts on Netflix!!

1. The representation for people of color!!!
Every single character except for 3, are poc!!! And I'm not eve kidding, three people in this show are white, two of them have almost no screentime and the other one is a villian !
Now that is HUGE because I think its pretty +

Obvious that people of color do not get represented very much, and its so important to shine light onto shows who have this kind of rep!!
(And the pink girl right there, thats Kipo! Shes blasian)

2. The soundtrack!!!!
Kipo and the age of the Wonderbeasts has one of the BEST soundtracks I have ever heard, actually no. THE best!!
It is so unique and varies between different genres but they fit it all in there perfectly and the music fits right in with the vibe of the +

show!!

3. Going back to representation talk, theres mlm rep!!
One of the main characters, is gay! And he says it on screen
They don't just suggest it, they don't hint at it, or vaguely make him say, "I dont like girls"
He literally just says, "I'm gay" and thats it!! +

And thats such a big deal because lgbtqia+ NEEDS to be normalized, and by having him just flat out straight forwardly say that he is gay and not stretch it out or make it a huge big deal, thats a big step towards helping making lgbt normalized!! +

He ALSO has a crush!!! They don't just make him say hes gay and then forget about it, they show actual mlm rep, which is important also because mlm isnt represented as much in cartoons!!

4. The story!!
The story is so so unique, yea it plays into the post apocalyptic world, but the world they live in is still so different and unique than any other post apocalyptic world I have ever seen in other shows!
Without spoiling too much, the story is just +

so amazing, and leaves you at the edge of your seat wondering whats going to happen next
And surprising plot twists that literally made my scream lmao

5. The characters!!!!!!!!!
AH these characters are so incredible! Their personalities, their designs, their backstories, all of it!! Its so outstanding!
Like I said before, most of the characters in the show are poc, and having every single human main character +

be a poc, is so good, because it gives them the personalities and attention they deserve! (unlike how in a lot of shows, people of color are usually side or background characters whos only role in the show is to just be there so the show runners dont like racist :( ) +

Besides that, these characters are just so unique, and most of their backstories are heartbreaking and I could just cry thinking about them
The characters develop and grow so much throughout the seasons and they learn so much and become closer and closer to eachother +

which is so cute to see!!

6. The artstyle and scenery!
The art style for this show is one of my favorites, Idk theres just something about it that fits so well with the vibe of the show
And the backgrounds, omg the backgrounds!! They are SOOOO pretty and so beautifully drawn!

8. The characters dynamics
Now this kind of plays into number 6, but I wanted to go more in depth with it because the characters all have super different relationships with each other that helps make them feel much more realistic
There are the relationships between +

the main cast that are so adorable and even if they aren't talked about as much, theyre still so adorable
But then theres relationships outside the main cast, like Benson and his crush! And all of them get their own moments of screen time and I just love it so much

9. The mutes
Mutes are a huge thing in this show, theyre basically just mutated animals
But idk theres just something about Mutes that are so different from other shows and whatever creatures they have in their shows
Every single mute is so different from the other +

and you get to see that as the show reveals more and more about mutes and their lives

10. It's been horribly mistreated by dreamworks and netflix :(
Even if this thread some how didnt convince you into watching kataow, please please still watch it!
This show started in January and is ending on Monday (October 12th) which means its starting and ending +

in the same year!! It wasnt cancelled as Rad Sechrist stated it was intended to only have three seasons
But it STILL has been soo sooo wronged by Dreamworks and Netflix!
Kataow has been out for months, but Dreamworks has barleey promoted it AT ALL this entire year!! +

They would give us one or two promo images, maybe a short trailer, and then that was it!!
And now that the show is finally about to come to an end with its final season, Dreamworks has decided to "promote" it
Except,, the "promoting" dreamworks has tried to do +

has just been 5 minute long clips from random episodes in the season, some of which containing MAJOR spoilers for the season in them !!!!
They have spoiled many big plot points already, and they are STILL release clips even though the season comes out in less than 24 hours +

Its NOT fair, and no show should be treated like this :(
So please, even if it doesnt seem like a show you'd like, just watch it. Rad has stated he has idea for many movies and wants to make them, but if went want those movies we NEED to show dreamworks that +

that we do really want these movies!!!!

SO in conclusion, please watch Kipo and the age of the Wonderbeasts, I KNOW it is ending literally tomorrow, but I do not want to watch this show go away without any attention
