An update thread, now that I& #39;ve seen d2 (once, if there are gifs or clips floating around please link me)! https://twitter.com/SomebodyOwens/status/1314957234762375171">https://twitter.com/SomebodyO...
Mic placement and the flash of bare shoulder we got in the first look tell me that we& #39;re going camera cuts rather than fully realized quick change

BUT

there& #39;s no reason this can& #39;t be an incredibly dramatic change once camera cuts aren& #39;t an option
Tight fitting 2nd shirt/cummerbund live under the looser 1st shirt, which opens at center front

Magnets make everything better for quick changes, as do elastic tabs on cuffs
Rip-away pants are waaay less common, because disaster can far too easily strike, but they are possible (and I& #39;ve used them!)

I& #39;d hazard a guess that well see pants stay the same whenever this does happen in front of a live audience
Oh wait the bows!! Jimin& #39;s ankle bows are great because they& #39;re either an aesthetic choice to extend the line of his legs or they& #39;re a great little bit of smoke and mirrors:

His pants are tied around his boots! They& #39;d never come off fast! Right?
Nope! If we& #39;re going with rip away pants, it& #39;s easy to fake the bow so it sits over the snap line, held in place with an extra snap.

There& #39;s no tension on that bow so it doesn& #39;t take much work to hold it in place. As soon and you yank the pants, ALL the snaps separate
Wait hold on I think I have some tiny snaps that made their way home with me lemme grab a pic

Tiiiiiiny snaps! Not strong on their own, but great for holding something delicately, and then giving way when needed
Also I gotta walk back that "magnets make everything better" comment. Untrue. Magnets frequently make my life an absolute nightmare.

But they DO help facilitate changes when applied judiciously
(they& #39;re a fucking nightmare for laundry purposes, or when you& #39;re using them to attach accessories like say a bow on a hat, and also your set is made of metal

Because then metal in the set is a much stronger pull than the washer in the hat, and so the set wears the bow instead)
Oh also mics! Jimin (and just about everyone else in kpop) weir their receivers on the outside of their clothing, with mic cables loose

Makes sense! Easier to switch out packs for connection issues or if batteries die

But mics over clothes are Bad News for quick changes
