It’s interesting to me that some people feel like the sexiness of the My Time stage is at odds with its message. The song is about maturing fast & not having a childhood. When he does his dance break walking past the camera, he is showing how he grew up in front of the media.

He was pushed to be attractive and sexy from a young age. The performance shows that. But also, the song is about him finding his time and what he wants. The performance shows what directions he’s interested in taking as a performer.

He clearly likes this vibe and is doing what he wants lately. So for me the performance perfectly matches the song.

I think you need to take a second to really think about this performance and notice all the little details to really understand what he was doing with it. There’s a lot to unpack and it’s a beautiful stage for that reason.
