I think as much as all the analysis about lighting & color grading in the MCU that leads to shots like this is super significant, there's probably an equally (if not more) interesting conversation to be had about the impact of framing and composition. https://twitter.com/coensesque/status/1315134655453179904
like as much as these movies seem to go out of their way to avoid deep shadow & contrast, I think a lot of that would fly better with everyone if the staging of the camera in dialogue scenes was as tight as the big CGI vistas that end up in 4 panel perfect shot tweets 🤷‍♂️
like, I think when the Russos are on in Infinity War or Endgame, they're *really* on (Rocket & Thor in the pod heading to the forge, Steve & Nat at headquarters five years later), but when the Russos are off... oh boy
