idk how to start this but there’s something we need to talk about. that “i am in fact straight” tweet, yeah, it’s time to stop bringing that up. idk if you realize but when you use that tweet as evidence you ARE forcing a sexuality on him, it’s been years since that was posted+
and even if he was that tweeted it, that doesn’t mean he couldn’t have made new discoveries or changed his mind, also using that as evidence is totally disregarding every artist in the industry that’s been closeted and struggles in coming out after, that tweet is the only time+
he’s ever stated that he’s straight and using it over and over can be very damaging if there is more to it than that, it really seems like through his music he’s been trying to convey that there’s more to the story than that, he posted the ‘just like you’ video and had multiple+
references to the lgbtq+ community, he had a mv where he was standing on a target and was surrounded by straight couples while he looked on sadly, he put a rainbow tower in his mv after another artist did the same thing, he literally screamed at his ‘gf’ in a hallways full of+
fans that he was gay and got screamed at by his management directly after. if you disregard all of these things just bc of one tweet, you are part of the problem. im not even trying to say he’s gay, im just saying it looks like there’s more to the story and he’s been trying to+
tell us that for a long time now, keep in mind this is not about larry, its about l’ouis and being open minded, loving and accepting towards him no matter what his sexuality might be. it’s not our place to put a label on him and screaming that he’s straight is doing exactly that.
just a reminder about this thread, i’m saying anything about what his sexuality is, that’s not what this is, i just think it’s time stop w/ that tweet, and if you actually read the article he was responding to you know that tweet was actually super embarrassing and disrespectful
