@TheAthleticUK turned on OGS in an ugly way. I just finished reading 3 articles to 3 journalists on The Athletic & one current theme was apparent; They disregarded everything he has done at @ManUtd.

The theme was only about the bad results, OGS’ legend status at #mufc & his CV.
They went in on “how understands the club” and undermined it. The went on at the games prior to the PSG comeback and said it was luck. The PSG fuelled the delusion even more. They mocked when OGS said: “He wanted the team to be fitter” but they look anything but fit right now.
Basically, they completely disregarded context in anything written except when it came to making Solskjær look terrible.

I really don’t want to defend Solskjær. I really don’t. I’m tired of it. I want to criticize the mistakes he makes. I just don’t get the chance. #mufc
Nobody criticizes him tactically. They criticize him on him as a person or on his CV. It’s mad. It feels like the whole world is against Solskjær. They all want him to fail and not in a “I hope to be proven wrong” kind of way. It’s more of a “I told you so. I knew it.” #mufc
The media can’t accept that a manager from Norway who relegated Cardiff can become a success at the hottest seat in England if supported & given the tools to succeed. They can’t have it. Almost as if every other manager doesn’t have a black spot in their CVs. #mufc
Managers have to fail to learn. It’s always about OGS’ name or status at the club. Never that his caretaker run actually got him the job not his status.

I really feel sorry for OGS. If he gets sacked, he left this club better than he found it. He’ll be the unsung hero. #mufc
