The creator of the Rexouium species in VRChat is strongly anti-gay, and in the species' official Discord you can discuss lots of things, but not homosexuality (this isn't about NSFW or not, that's a separate rule).

I was called an "SJW" by popular VRC people for bringing this up or even having an issue with it, but frankly it bugs me.

This avatar is $40. You have so many choices of where you spend your money and which avatars you pay for, so why support someone who doesn't support you?

Clearly it's the person's deeply held religious preference, and so I should respect that, right?

Well, I don't begrudge anyone their religion or spirituality, right up until it becomes a tool they use to carry out discrimination or hate.

IMO we're past that point in this case.

I'm not gonna make a big scene about it or anything (and no, one tweet thread doesn't constitute "a big scene"), I just think your money's probably better spent elsewhere.

The people who have those avatars aren't necessarily bad people. They're cute critters.
