The paper below from @GidMK and @BillHanage looks at the infection fatality rate (IFR). IFR is the proportion of SARS-CoV-2-infected people who die of the disease COVID-19.

Their paper notes:

"We restricted our meta-analysis to studies of advanced economies, based on current membership in the [OECD], in light of the distinct challenges of health care provision and reporting of fatalities in developing economies."

It's fine for them to limit their analysis to OECD countries.

But some people might want to extend the analysis to non-OECD. This thread will go over papers for doing that.
