No protocols exactly.
Just be aware, as with everything else, this is a PUBLIC VENUE, and EVERYONE can see what is being said, even though they are not participating.

As for keeping the thread together. It takes way too much time trying to follow a coversation, when it's jumping around like that, everyone starting or splitting threads.
If I post and see someone did at same time, I delete/repost under them, just to try to keep it neat/readable.

And I use the person's name I'm directly replying to, or none, if it's a general statement.
