Danny Green says that he hopes the people going after him online will use that same passion and anger to fight against injustice in this country, but he understands why people are upset with him.
"It came down to that last play, and I know I'm the easy target."

. @RadRivas wrote about the blowback Danny Green was getting online yesterday before Green himself spoke about the death threats today, but it still applies. Anyone doing that is an absolute loser. https://twitter.com/LakersSBN/status/1315046406617534466

I'm not an NBA player. But if I can speak to my personal experience for a second: I've had people come after my then-fiancee, now wife on social media because they were mad at my basketball takes, and that's just 1 or 2 people, and it was still an incredibly painful conversation.
I can't even imagine how Danny really feels right now with the volume of stuff he was getting. I hope the majority of you will try to be a bit more positive moving forward. It's one thing to get mad about plays or losses, but death threats or personal attacks are never cool.
