Anecdotally it feels like the relationship has deteriorated somewhat but this would provide some hard numbers.

After a few messages on this point think I should add that, although the first few sections focus on national identity, it then covers club football v international football, the fallout from 2012 and whether politics has filtered into football supports since 2014.
