Maybe it's just because I love manga as much as anime, but I feel like there's a misconception among a lot of people that reading the manga won't be a great experience when the anime does a great job adapting it.
While I absolutely love the Kaguya-sama and 3-Gatsu anime, I found that reading the manga hit just as hard and was an incredible experience. I totally understand the desire to wait for the anime since they are so well done, but I think reading them is extremely worth it as well.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that even though some anime do elevate the source material, that does not mean the source material isn't basically just as good and worth experiencing.
