Many childless are contended on a notion of rising from lower to upper class within a single generation…

however, the pursuit of happiness is everlasting and multigenerational…

lineage motivation lifts planes of generations out of poverty…

that is their evolutionary purpose
The origin of this cultural "my generation" neurosis seems to have sprung forth from feminine neuroticism untempered by childlessness; leaving a fear of decay of mortality, a crisis of disposability, as investment is faux on crass individualism.
Traditionally, for both the masculine and the feminine, children neutralised the fear of class struggles, as a passing of the baton of the continuation of the earned prosperity.
It has always been the case that female hypergamy resulted in each generation wanting the best; females marrying up in the trade of female health (limited availability) for masculine wealth (high risk, high disposability), for superior available fitness for the children.
This thread is merely about the new cultural neurosis around wealth transcendence within a single generation. For example, outside birth control societies, it is expected wealth transcendence accumulates gradually over generations, vanquishing such neurosis.
Furthermore, this powerful motivation of lineage enrichment, when combined with capitalism, enables trade between lineages, meaning that the benefit of one lineage enhances the other. Hence the raise of not just vertical generations out of poverty, but horizontal generations too.
In case the usual critiques of capitalism arise; under an enforced free market, there is no monopoly that is allowed to be coercive, as such, wealth is only achieved via trade; the more trade, the more wealth; as such, traders incentivised to make more traders, not less.
