I was happy to sign the letter speaking out against online bullying of women, having been subject to it myself. I have heard some authors didn't sign because they objected to some of the co-signatories. And yet they are happy to sign another letter alongside some authors who

have engaged in targeted bullying & defamation. This feels disingenuous to me. Here's an example of a thread written last year when My Body is Me was published & I was being bombarded with online abuse & threats. This thread certainly wasn't the worst but it was written by a ch.

author & retweeted by a blue tick author with a VERY large following who holds a position of power. My Body is Me is a positive book with a wholesome message. I do think @Soc_of_Authors needs to take a firmer stance on inter -author online bullying. No naming names pls!
