I have no pretence of understanding politics. But after having been exposed to ideologies (on twitter) on both sides with either end of the spectrum convinced that theirs is the correct ideology, I have come to believe that political confusion is the correct mental state (lol)!

I fail to understand why one cannot accept some principles from one, and some from the other. I get it that one is “predominantly” leaning towards one ideology but that doesn’t imply that one has to agree with all its tenets.

It is this pressure to choose a side and then stick with it that I find suffocating. This need to pack people into boxes and label them. Why can’t an ideology be hybrid? When faced with an option of black and white, why am I not permitted to choose grey?
