I feel like every single person in Melbourne has snapped this weekend?

When we want into second lockdown, it was with faith that the government would address the issues that meant a small number of cases overwhelmed the system. And it doesn’t appear that they’ve fixed that and it’s obscene.

Dan Andrews and his government have put us through hell and while I support necessary lockdown and restrictions my belief that they can fix these problems is really wavering.

It feels like he won’t change his mind on anything because he is unwilling to admit government failure. At the same time we’ve been abandoned by the federal government. Melbourne sucks right now it’s really sad.

A friend who lives interstate told me they miss Melbourne the other day and honestly I do too. This all fucking sucks.

I think Labor celebrating him doing 100 pressers has truly broken my brain. That’s not an achievement. I’m glad he fronts the press every day but it’s not a good thing that he has done 100 press conferences in a row. It is a sign of massive failure that has hurt this whole state.

I thought I was done but I am not. The way the Andrews government have tried to police a health crisis. Unfairly and cruelly fine already marginalised people. Locking up public housing towers. Blaming the people of Victoria instead of the government fuck ups. It’s gross.

I wish we had an actual opposition party who could challenge him on all this bullshit. I have always liked the Andrews government and I have supported them but this situation is insane and his refusal to admit where the government has failed is horrendous.
