My team and I are some of the very few people touring the entire country during this election. So far I’ve been to 18 states in 20 days.

The common theme? Americans aren’t as polarized or as hate-filled as we’re told by our politicians, media, & social networks. They’re lying.
It doesn’t matter if it’s South Dakota or Baltimore — people are absolutely SICK of the partisan division. They’re sick of the false dichotomy between Americans being created at the national level.

They want actual solutions for their local communities. They’re not getting them.
No well-known elected official is listening to their actual constituents and/or the American voters as a whole right now.

They’re listening to social media and the money, and they’re doing whatever they can to get shameless media attention.
I’m visiting dozens of small (and large) businesses, as well as local leaders, across the country. Each has told me they’ve NEVER heard from their elected official.

We don’t live in a representative democracy right now. Instead, our democracy is fueled by attention-grabbers.
I’ve woken up each day, driven across the country, and actually met with people. I’ve listened to them. I’ve heard their concerns (specifically around environmental issues).

I’ve done it with a small budget and a nimble team.

If we can do it, why can’t our elected officials?
I’m going to do a more thought-filled thread sometime soon on this (when it’s not 12:15 AM after a long day), but I had to share this.

Change needs to come. We’re being completely misled (including by the B.S. on this site)
