Friedrich Engels was the son of a factory owner who lived off his family’s money his whole life, bankrolled his buddy Marx, and died with the equivalent of $3 million in the bank. They did a pretty good job advancing the socialist movement, all things considered.

Right now there are a thousand+ guys whose only job is to be anti-communist. They are bankrolled by billionaires. They have a life of total freedom to write, organize, advocate against us.

And every time one of us happens to come from money a huge proportion of our would-be comrades object to the possibility that we could have a couple people who were financially free to just be loud-mouthed socialists without worrying about being homeless

We are losing. We are getting our fucking asses destroyed. It is a fucking blowout. And we’re mad that one of us is a trust fund kid. Insane.
