Hi I'm doing research about who to vote for in the election because I try to be an informed voter and I'm just gonna share a few things I've noticed about the ballot I'll be given in my district in Missouri
Prologue: I ask my dad a lot about politics and voting and what something on the ballot REALLY means because while he is a republican he also deeply values the right to be an informed voter and tries to clearly explain who benefits from one thing or another.
1.0 So the website I'm using to look at my ballot says MO governor is kind of a big race this year and I ask my dad his opinion on why and he gives me several reasons. My theory was that it had something to do with district lines because that's also on the ballot.
1.1 My dad proceeds to explain the history of MO's party using speech to text, so pls don't get his ass. He explains new redistricting under Clean Missouri and how it interacts with the 2 amendments on the ballot.
1.2 I'm still a little confused, especially since his opinion is colored on the republican side, but I still know a lot more than before.

"I hope that helps"
1.3 my dad tries to explain that MO dems are extremely left and I ask him why and he comes back saying that everyone running in politics is extreme. I skipped some of the 3rd message in these caps.
1.4 I also asked him specifically about our auditor @nicolergalloway and this cap features my own talk as someone taking Accounting 1 who knows little about politics.

I will now move into actually talking about research into MO governor.
2.0 Our current MO governor is Mike Parson (R) @GovParsonMO and is challenged by MO state auditor Nicole Galloway (D) @nicolergalloway. I attempted to look at both of them and their views so that I don't have to blindly vote for my party, but know that it's the right choice.
2.0.1 That being said, I have so many issues with trying to find Mike's views on the issues and while I was angry about it my friend said this:
2.1 according to the official MO governor website, he has 4 priorities: Stronger Communities, Workforce & Education, Infrastructure, and Gov. Reform. He has one paragraph on each and there is no way to read more about these priorities or other issues. I will keep searching.
2.1.1 Correction: there is a list of pdfs at the bottom of the page. These do not offer much more information than above and require effort to find, which is annoying when you're trying to be smart on twitter (laugh track).

2.1.2 I will now provide an intermission while I try to figure out what this man is all about because his other website doesn't have a clearly marked "issues" or "views" or "policies" page anywhere and it's 11pm so I may not come back to this till tomorrow.
No I have not forgotten about this thread. I am, however, constantly distracted by everything in my life including the need to cook food.

Next time on the adventures of me: will I ever find respect for Mike Parson and his web designer? Quite possibly never.
