Regardless of sex or genital arrangement, were you told penetrative sex would hurt? Do you still believe this?

Have you ever cried during sex?

Have you ever cried during sex BECAUSE OF PAIN?

Have you avoided sex because of pain?

Have you ever had to give a disclaimer or set boundaries about sex before it happens?

1000000% yes. A lot of boundaries have to be set ahead of time so there’s no extremely unpleasant surprises.

I was told penetrative sex would hurt the first time because it would “break my hymen”.

And then I was (correctly) told it would hurt and I might bleed because I would be nervous and tense and likely have sex first with a noob that didn’t know how foreplay works.

Also for the record it shouldn’t hurt. If you have enough lube (btw no shame in that), enough foreplay, and you’re relaxed with your partner(s), it shouldn’t hurt. If you’ve tried all the things, or if it hurts like WHOA, get it checked out.

I’ll answer these too, because holy shit endometriosis fucked me up entirely and it’s rarely talked about.
