Some #WorldMentalHealthDay thoughts.

Years ago I saw a therapist. She pointed out that from childhood into my adulthood I'd ignore my feelings and pain to keep the peace, and not burden those I love.

It was pretty eye opening and something I still struggle with to this 1/4
day. In a way I looked at it as a good thing. A sign of strength. Putting other's before myself.

In reality, it's a form of codependence. Because, God forbid I cause a riff in the matrix or people will leave.

All this to say, I think it's easy for people to look at mental 2/4
health and think of big buzzwords and diagnoses and medication and all that.

In truth all of us have struggles that we see as "normal" but aren't. The human mind and experience are so complex it's honestly arrogant to think we have it all together and have all the answers. 3/4
I sought therapy after going through something incredibly difficult and ended up learning more than I imagined even though I was only able to go for a few months.

I can assure you, mental health applies to everyone. Take care of yourselves and #EndTheStigma 4/4
