Went to renew my driver's license two weeks back. No one in the place was wearing a mask. They then demanded I take off mine for the picture. I refused and requested the staff person wear one. She grumbled and eventually did...

#COVID19BC is not doing well. Our luck will fully run out eventually. Our leadership will than express surprise and try to blame people other than themselves :-(

The expectation is that if my colleagues or I get sick with COVID that the rest of the group will work whatever hours are required to keep the ER open. We have done this for other health problems.

I would not have an issue for this disease except we are being hung out to dry by our provincial leadership. Our efforts to require asks in hospital were meet with months of push back from the highest levels of government. And still not universally in place.

Why should I be willing to dramatically increase my hours at work and thus my risk from this disease if the government has such a laissez fair attitude about the whole thing? If we were all doing everything we could it would be another matter... But we're not.

I obviously did not vote #bcndp #bcpoli But do we have a political party interested in following the science?
