What the Rays are doing from an economic perspective is pure bullshit. They’re a good team. They’re in the ALCS but this idea that what they’re doing is admirable in a labor context is hot trash. Get outta here with that nonsense.

Nick Anderson should be a very rich man. Pete Fairbanks should be a very rich man. Tyler Glasnow should be a very rich man. It’s actually not a good thing at all that they’re putting in work and not being compensated appropriately.

And the Rays did the opener not just because they lost starters. They could’ve filled those spots in with more starters. The opener suppresses wages. They’re smart enough to know that. The comparison to Gerrit Cole is absurd. The Rays should be paid well too.
